The AFL4-12-EHL is the 4th generation of IEI AFOLUX Panel PC. AFOLUX, standing for affordable luxury, is designed to provide versatile, cost-effective solutions for light industrial markets such as factory automation, retail, medical, digital signage and POS (point of sale). It is fanless with aluminum casing, looks stylish like a tablet, and is powered by Intel® Celeron® J6412 processor and 8GB LPDDR4x soldered memory to deliver excellent performance at ultra-low power. Built with optimized PCAP touchscreen, rich I/O and advanced wireless communication capability by the latest technology – Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, the AFL4-12-EHL is ideal for IoT applications requiring high-speed connectivity, large embedded RAM, and low power consumption.

IEI's rugged touchscreen adapts a glass-glass PCAP touch technology with integrated industrial-grade controllers, which is further developed to fulfill industrial capability. IEI AFOLUX panel PCs with PCAP touchscreen allow customers to experience it using gloves in harsh environments such as food processing, chemical and beverage industries.

The screen equips a 10-point multi-touch screen that has the ability to recognize and respond to ten simultaneous points of contact. This feature allows developer to design applications where complex gesture is needed to operate, such as zoom, rotate, swipe or other actions that need two or more people to operate the same monitor at once.

PCAP touchscreens can display details precisely thanks to its optical clarity and high contrast ratios. With anti-glare and anti-UV coating, the touchscreen can display clearly with no reflection and scratches after a long time use in outdoors and bright light environment.

7H Scratch-resistant Surface Hardness

Having good resistance to permanent deformation of the screen surface is the key to maintaining a clear display. The AFL4-12-EHL features 7H hardness glass that resists scratches from tools or other sharp objects. It can help enhance durability and touch precision for your industrial applications.

Work with Gloves and Water

The optimization of the PCAP touch-sensitivity allows easy operation with thin rubber gloves or with work gloves. Moreover, the PCAP touchscreen is easy to clean, and requires no calibration after a period of operation.

Chemically Strengthened Glass Substrate with UV Protection

Outdoor applications mean exposure to direct sunlight and long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. It can easily affect PCAP panel appearance such as cracking and hazing of top glass hard coat, or varying degrees of yellowing and bubbling. Thus, IEI offers a UV-resistant PCAP touch solution to equip outdoor industrial systems exposed to direct long-term sunlight with the following anti-UV characteristics.

Featuring the latest Intel® UHD Graphics with 16 EUs, the AFL4 panel PC can connect with a second display via the HDMI™ port to deliver powerful hard decoding capability for you, ensuring no delay on streaming 4K videos. The HDMI™ port is located on the side panel, enabling easy access and connection to the TV/monitor with HDMI™ on the side.

Durable Aluminum Die Casting Housing

The housing of the next-generation panel PC is constructed of aluminum die casting, featuring durable hardness, high corrosion resistance and excellent thermal conductivity. Compared to the previous generation that used PC/ABS plastic enclosure, the heat dissipation is significant increased due to aluminum’s great heat transfer advantages. The new gen is more suited for the industrial application that requires high chassis strength and impact toughness. Moreover, aluminum die casting is fully recyclable and reusable, which makes the panel PC a green product for being environmentally responsible.

Wireless Network Capability Simplifies IoT Deployment

The panel PC is designed with strong wireless network capability via a pre-installed Intel wireless network module. The latest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 technologies are provided to speed up data transmission through the internal 2T2R antennas, which eliminate cable interference while maintaining stable performance for high volume applications.

Dual M.2 M Key Supports High-performance NVMe SSDs

The AFL4 panel PC has two M.2 M key slots to support various expansion options, especially for storage requirement. An NVMe-based drive can write to disk up to 2x faster compared to a SATA SSD. By communicating directly with the CPU via the PCIe Gen3 bus, the NVMe drive offering up to 1GB/s (bidirectional) of throughput is a great solution to enable applications that require real-time data processing and storage reliability, such as surveillance and industrial automation.

Diversified I/O Connection

The AFL4-12-EHL panel PC has multiple ports for peripheral connections, and even with an internal 1.2W speaker for audio output. It equips five USB ports supporting up to 10 Gbps transfer speed, and four serial ports to connect to legacy factory machinery and devices, allowing enterprises to bring intelligence to legacy equipment without having to replace them.
