- Customer should carefully check the MAC Address assigned on each LAN Port by checking the sticker attached into the LAN Ports.

- The IEI MAC Code usually starts with 00187Dxxxxxx.

- When typing the MAC Address during the update, if the first 8-digit did not match the MAC Address from the sticker kindly modify/edit the 'mac.ini' file.

* For example: the current mac.ini file has 00187D33 and the MAC Address of the LAN Port was 00187D37.

* Then customer should edit the mac.ini file by changing the text file to '00187D37' and click save.

* Then re-run the mac.bat to update the MAC Addresses.

The current design of the board is fixed and controlling by Chrontel firmware for LVDS display.

So, we need to update the firmware for changing the brightness value in different fixed level.

Hardware design change will help to adjust the brightness in BIOS.

1. Download and unzip the Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator utility to a temporary folder on the Admin system.

3. Right-click the file Installer_Creator.exe and select Run as administrator.

4. Browse to the root of the USB drive.

5. Click Create Image to begin the creation process.

6. Wait for the process to finish. It can take up to 15 minutes.

III.Install Windows 7 with this USB thumb drive.

We provided available drivers package for windows-xp with-in default updated drivers already to support.

Solution

We needed to install the driver in manual selection procedures but not auto-installations from all packages.

Most types of LVDS panel can be drived well by default firmware, but few can't. So need customized firmware version to match better.

Intel CPU hardware versions changes from -R10 to -R20 with BIOS modifications.

Solution

1. Ensure your board hardware version is -R10 or -R20.

Then use BIOS_SAA8Ax1x is for –R10 version onlyandBIOS_SAA8Ax2x for –R20version only.

Don't exchanging the wrong BIOS between this two versions perhaps avoid some failures.

(i.e)WAFER-BT-i1-J19001-R10required to maintain with last std BIOS version “SAA8AM18” and don't update with 'SAA8AM22/future versions' for this -R10 board.

Similarly 'SAA8AM22/future versions' are suitable for 'WAFER-BT-i1-J19001-R20' version and don't used 'SAA8AM18/earlier versions' for this -R20 board.

This because ' .NCH file instead of .BAT file for BIOS' in recent board with AMI-UEFI BIOS support UEFI-shell mode, so legacy DOS-mode will not support this access and we strongly recommend to use 'BIOS update under UEFI-mode' as similar.

Solution

1.Enabled UEFI under BOOT in BIOS.

2.Ensure selected UEFI-Bootable DOS-disk with need BIOS folder files, mainly UEFI folder.

3.Type command “fs0:” or 'fs1:' , etc.

4.Locate target BIOS folder files.

5.Execute command “go” as standard method.

6.Wait for till flash complete without interruption.
